After working as an auto worker to put himself through college, then law school, Ronald Sharp began a dual career as an attorney and a sculptor. He wrote several novels and endured hundreds of rejections before winning the 2012 Discover Mystery Award for best first mystery sponsored by the Poisoned Pen Press. Having started his law practice doing divorce and family law, he published his first non-fiction work, Winning the Divorce War in 1998. The law practice had by then evolved into a specialty of trusts and estate planning and Allworth Press picked up two titles, Living Trusts for Everyone and How to Avoid Probate for Everyone. Two other books along the same line are scheduled for release in 2022 and 2023. The sculptural part of his work won many awards and commissions, some of which can be seen at SharpSculpture.com. He now lives in Michigan with his wife, the artist Susannah Keith. His 3 adult children all live in the area and are professionals in their own right.
