Hailing from the land of Wisconsin, RJ Grey is the author of the science-fiction/fantasy "Humanastra" series. RJ Grey spent much of his life developing characters and plots for video games as a hobby. However, the feasibility of bringing these ideas to life in the real world was staggering. Thus, an idea was born: Why not write a novel? Technology had advanced to the point where the creation and publication of a novel could be done easily. So, RJ Grey set out on an adventure. As he wrote, ideas developed and decisions needed to be made. First off, RJ decided he enjoyed writing. His creative juices stirred enthusiastically and his mood was improved. Secondly, the amount of time invested into this project couldn't be ignored. He researched and planned a path to self-publish his stories instead of leaving another project half-completed. Third, RJ decided he cared about what he wrote; the characters, the setting, everything. He fell in love with wielding a pen/keyboard and poured his heart into his work. Humanastra had started as a singular path, a straight and uninteresting twig. Once RJ considered the characters, their histories, their destinies and the manner of interactions within their environment, a giant sequoia of branching side-stories and new histories had bloomed. Humanastra could no longer be just one novel, condensed to a single volume and held to the standard of traditional stories. This was the birth of a universe of tales waiting to be told.
