Always a writer, but you know, that work and earn money stuff got in the way, so pursuing a writing career had to wait. While still in school, I began working in a sheet metal shop, where I remained for 12 years before opening the first of three bars and restaurants. Various events led me to sell and abandon these ventures, and I moved to Dutch Harbor, Alaska, where I first managed a bar and restaurant, then transitioned into crab fishing, a career I continued until injuries forced me out of the industry. I obtained my merchant mariner credentials and continued working on ships, which I still do part-time, but I have since published 2 books, with a third, the first of a series, nearing completion.
