芥川龍之介「羅生門」を全文英訳! This is a representative short story by Akutagawa Ryunosuke, a writer of the "New Shicho School" who was active in the Taisho era. Akutagawa Ryunosuke's representative short stories were first published in Teikoku Bungaku (Imperial Literature) [1915]. It was included in the short story collection "Rashomon" [Aranda Shobo, 1917]. It is the story of a "servant" who stands underneath Rashomon and meets an "old woman" who is plucking hair out of a corpse. The story has received much attention as the starting point of Akutagawa's literature, and it is still used in textbooks for high schools. The original is said to be from "Konjaku Monogatari-shu", Volume 29, No. 18.
