A story of battle, adventure, and pursuit of a bride inspired by an out-of-print book written in Hungarian of feathered clad warriors which were like our modern day special ops. The author incorporated these feathered warriors into Sobieski’s struggle to hold back the Ottoman Empire’s invasion of Poland and surrounding countries. In this story, they are identified as Raven Warriors fighting as mercenaries with the hussars, led by Jan Sobieski, who kept the Ottoman Empire from taking over Europe. The Raven Warriors were a cavalry for hire, often called upon by emperors and generals to bolster their troops or decimate invading armies and defend the throne when all seemed lost. They intimidated the enemy with their hooded robes cloaked in raven feathers appearing entirely in black from their horses to their saddles.
