Reagan M. Sova is an American writer living in Belgium. He is the author of Wildcat Dreams in the Death Light (First to Knock, 2022), an 80,000-word, mostly unpunctuated epic poem that has earned critical acclaim from Leaf by Leaf, The Brazen Head, and readers on Goodreads. His other poems have been published in Expat Press and Ghost City Review, and in several publications on Medium.com. Sova was born and grew up in Jackson, Michigan, USA. Literacy came slowly to him. By 16, he was an orphan. Much of his youth was spent with friends in the woods. In early adulthood, he developed an idiosyncratic gambling method, employed to great effect in the casinos of northern Michigan. These bets financed a flight to Paris, where at 20, he first discovered the power of literature. Sova's debut novel, Tiger Island (Harvard Square Press, 2017), centers around soccer, water privatization, anarcho-syndicalism, and WikiLeaks. The book garnered praise from a member of Pavement and Silver Jews and was featured on Artists for Assange. His short fiction has also appeared in Cobalt Review and Cowboy Jamboree Press' Blue Bob Anthology of writing incited by Bob Dylan.
