"Rebecca and the Angels" by Brian John is the fourth part of the Angel Mountain Saga. It continues the life story of Mistress Martha Morgan, and takes her into the period of the Rebecca Riots which swept across Wales in the years 1839-1844. From the Author In this book I have tried, as in the previous novels of the series, to tell a good tale in a simple and direct way, with many plot twists and turns, strong characterisation, and a powerful sense of place. In view of the special place which the Rebecca Riots hold in the affections of Welsh people, I have also tried to make the novel accurate from the point of view of politics and social history. But my priority, as ever, is to tell a rattling good yarn!
