
Rev. Ryan O’Shea is an Episcopal priest in a small North Carolina town wrestling with his sexuality. Sulley Trent is everything Ryan is not. The son of the senior rector who is openly gay and often on drugs, the two guys' chemistry is unmistakable and eventually they begin a secret romance. Third in the picture is Trevor Collins the Third or “Trae” who becomes infatuated with Ryan, but Ryan is very reluctant to return any affection because Trae’s family, a very prominent and wealthy family, are members of his congregation. Trae is also just 22 and becoming more open with his sexuality and eventually his obsession with Ryan turns deadly. As Ryan struggles with the tension between his heart and his head as well as the triangle of Sully on one end and Trae on the other, their story encounters sinister results and tragedy . In the end, redemption, with its various consequences, embraces all three.
