Reginald W. Bacon is a museum and history professional with specialties in 17th- and 18th-century New England architecture and domestic life —- and early 20th-century music, vaudeville, and circus. His work creating interpretive materials and graphics for museums is informed by his first career as a journalist, editor, and publication designer. His vaudeville and circus arts research is informed by a 35-year career as an acrobatic juggler/unicyclist, comic dancer, and jazz/ragtime musician —- for most of those years performing in dazzling synchrony with his wife and partner, L.J. Newton. He is the author of 10 books on under-the-radar history, architecture, performing arts, and editorial/graphics topics.
