Life could get hostile at times. You’ll encounter a rude receptionist, teller, or office attendant. You're going to be angered. You're going to be frustrated and embarrassed. You're going to be rejected and heartbroken at times. People will step on you and blame you for putting your foot in their paths. They’ll slap you and say you hit their palm with your face. They’ll fire you from their company and say you quit the job. They’ll dump you and later accuse you of not fighting for the relationship. Some things will go wrong in life. But what's important is whether you're able to stay at peace. This book stands as a signpost, pointing you to the truth of how to be at peace. It's here to give you stillness and to teach you to be alert in the face of adversities. It’s here to help you come out of the vicious cycle of living a life of unnecessary worry and unhappiness. Structure of " Everything Is Fine" consists of six chapters. Chapter One: Your Expectation of things. This chapter talks about how our expectations of life events affect our happiness and peace. And with relevant practical examples, this section talks about how one can deal with unhappiness amidst expected and unexpected life events. Chapter Two: Your Perception of people. Most of the unhappiness people experience in life are associated with their dealings and relationship with other humans. And to help people make the best of their relationship with others, this section shows an alternative and probably the best way to experience peace while living with all these unstable humans who keep offending us. Chapter Three: Your Ego. This chapter explores the various ways in which ego subtly but dangerously causes us to live in unhappiness. It explains how our unhealthy belief in our self-worth leaves us feeling unfulfilled in life. The use of ego here, if not appropriately understood, may cause dire resistance from the reader; but if well digested, could be found astonishing and liberating. This chapter is a bitter pill that even the writer would prefer not to swallow at times. Chapter Four: The Time You Live In. At any given time, people find themselves dwelling in either the past, present, or future. And this chapter shows precisely how the timeline one dwells in can affect their happiness. Chapter Five: The Solutions You Are Pursuing. In their search for happiness, people pursue various solutions—usually money, fame, relationship and success—that they believe will give them the happiness they need. But are these things truly the answers to our quest for happiness? This is what this chapter seeks to explore. The chapter also recommends, probably, better alternatives for living a happy and peaceful life. Chapter Six: Your Faith. This chapter encapsulates the previous five chapters. It shows how one's faith—specifically the Christian faith—solves the problems of happiness which are expressed in our expectation of things, our perception of people, our ego, and the time we dwell in. The chapter analyzes critical details about faith which, when rightly understood, bring immeasurable peace into our lives.
