Protecting his family's future meant taking a mate, but he never counted on his mate being another man. When Gray's father informs him he needs to take a mate, he has no problem with it. He'd been thinking it was time to find a permanent partner to bond with. An alliance with one of the most influential wolf shifter families in New Orleans was a good move to protect his people if ever their secret existence was revealed. However, when his father told him he'd have to mate with the head of the Cain family, Gray drew the line. He would not under any circumstances ever mate with a man!

The police say what happened to his brother was an animal attack, but Cameron knows differently. With an experimental drug in his body to make him a wolf shifter, he travels to New Orleans to find the people responsible for killing his brother. What he finds is a love he cannot deny, but how can he accept Mato as the man for him when Mato's not human, and he might have murdered the only family he had.

Alexi is asked to find the man responsible for creating a drug that makes humans into wolf shifters. Against his better judgment, he agrees. He's a jaguar shifter, and everyone knows there's no love between the two species. Alexi figures he'll get time to play with a piece he met not too long ago. He's not all that interested really, but what better way to piss off the haughty werewolves. To assist Alexi in his task, Lucas, their leader, calls in Jaren, his distant cousin and scientist. Alexi has never seen a more sexy, if repressed, man in his life, and the assignment has taken on a whole new direction. While he's searching for a werewolf that just might be stronger and more powerful than any he's met before, Alexi tries to convince the nerdy Jaren that he is definitely not straight no matter how much he protests!
