Renée’s work has appeared in, or received awards in competitions sponsored by, Narrative Magazine; Glimmer Train; Writer’s Digest; Literal Latte; Nevada Magazine; Sacramento Magazine; Bird Watcher's Digest; Twenty Twenty—A Stories on Stage Sacramento Anthology; Manifest West #4, and elsewhere. She is also the author of two novels, The Bridge at Valentine, which Larry McMurtry called “…very original and very appealing,” (and which the city of Woodland, CA, named its Community Novel in 2014), and The Plume Hunter, which received outstanding endorsements from members of the national birding community. She is currently at work on a memoir, and is devoted to birds, mammals, and the people she loves.
