Twelve years of my life was dedicated to hunting human traffickers for Interpol—and now, I’m officially retired. As the new Mrs. Mason, the only titles I have to pay attention to are wife and mother, and I’ve never been more proud to be something. Blake and I finally got everything we wanted. The fight through Hell for the past two years, all the pain, heartache, and loss led us to walking down the isle of his childhood church. I’m finally getting a life better than anything I could ever have dreamed up. Someone like me should never be too content though, lest their enemies see that as the perfect time to strike. When sh*t goes completely sideways during my honeymoon, I don’t have a choice but to get back in the fray because someone is playing with fire and takes the one thing that no one should ever lay their hands on—my daughter. Interpol has no hold on us now and my team and I are going to find her, and whoever took her better hope she’s okay when we do because if not, I’ll unleash pain on them that makes cartels and traffickers look like preschoolers. Little do I know that saving her means sacrificing others . . . but Sorina is my life. If anyone thinks I won’t do whatever it takes to bring her home to her father, then clearly they’ve forgotten who the f**k I am . . . I am the Viper, and this time, we’re taking these SOBs out my way. So, welcome to the snake pit . . . treading lightly won’t save you now.

Courtney grew up in Baltimore and is pretty sure she threw her ability to give a f**k into the Inner Harbor long before high school. Like almost every writer on the planet, she started writing at a very young age. Her “way with words” led to her being the go-to person for writing funeral speeches for a long time. For fourteen years she worked full-time as a paranormal investigator and demonologist until retiring in 2014. During that time, she had three children, earned a degree in Psychology, and eventually got back to writing. Today she lives in Middle Tennessee with her children and boyfriend, and spends the majority of her time writing things that make people smile while cutting their emotions deep, running her own professional editing company, and enjoying life .
