During a writing career spanning over 40 years, Rich Finzer has worked as a newspaper reporter, newspaper editor, technical writer and freelancer. He has authored thousands of pages of technical documentation for firms such as IBM and Bristol-Myers Squibb. As a freelancer with over 1000 paid writing credits, his essays and magazine articles have appeared in 17 regionally and nationally distributed publications. In May of 2013, his book Maple on Tap earned the 2013 Benjamin Franklin gold medal awarded by the Independent Book Publishers Association. His first novel, the ebook; Taking the Tracks has also garnered wide acclaim. Rich enjoys guest lecturing at Syracuse University, making his own maple syrup, sailing and teaching at Cayuga Community College. He lives in Hannibal, NY.
