Richard M. Anderson is a microbiologist with a master’s degree from San Jose State University and a Clinical Laboratory Bioanalyst license. He has held leadership roles in laboratory science since 1993 and worked at Quest Diagnostics as an administrative and technical director. As an award-winning author, he wrote "The Evolution of Life", which won a silver medal in the Nautilus Book Awards, and the "Outbound" fiction series, exploring the history of life and humanity’s future beyond Earth.
