Born and brought up in the amusing city of Mumbai, poetry writing struck this 22 year old writer at the age of fifteen. Inspired by the people around him, their various emotions and the given situations poetry writing became a medium for expressing his thoughts. After the realization that a story has greater power to connect with the mind of the audience, that it has the capacity to make the reader feel that he is actually the main protagonist, Rijo Roy ventured into the land of story-telling. This is his debut novel 'Face Of Life.' For him a story is something where, after the reader has finished reading, he/she should take something back with them...something which they can ponder on deeply, even, if it is for a day. His favorite stories: Sidney Sheldon's Doomsday Conspiracy, John Grisham's The Firm, Robert Luldlum's The Bourne Trilogy and Chetan Bhagat's Five Point Someone. His favorite movies include The Pianist, Pursuit of Happyness, A Beautiful Mind, The Prestige, Inception, Dark Knight, Passion Of The Christ, Udaan, 3 Idiots, and many more. After making the biggest mistake in his life to pursue engineering from the Mumbai university; Almighty God offered him freedom in the form of music, another passion that he cultivated in the past few years. He learnt to play the guitar, began composing his songs and jots down his own lyrics. His favorite bands are Green Day and Oasis and he is a big fan of the music of Udaan. Script writing for short and feature films is Rijo's another area of interest. Writing, Story- telling, Music, Guitar, and finally Songwriting sums up his creative side. Hope his debut novel enthralls you.
