This story follows Levian and Sera as they adapt to life as mates following the events in Homecoming, and working to fix their relationship. As much as Levian wants to completely claim Sera as his mate, he holds himself back, choosing to wait until he is certain nothing stands between them. Just him and his mate. Sera, whose life revolved around fighting, is a little Varselles-sick, and wrestles the urge to tackle anyone in sight for a good fight. Fighting in The Rings is strictly forbidden in Kórskan and the penalties for disobeying are high. Then life takes an abrupt shift, when a group of Rogues arrive in Kórskan in search for the journals. Soon the uses for the Cloaked Devices are revealed. It gets worse when members of the Rhine Clan start disappearing, and Sera is forced way too soon to step up as the new Alpha. Sera and Levian face a challenge that will either make them or break them, if not kill them and everyone else they love.
