Journalist and author who worked as editorial director for Noi Donne magazine, then for Il Manifesto and in the editorial team of L'Unita and Rinascita. She was an anchor to a show on La7 television channel called "Otto e Mezzo," along with Giuliano Ferrara. In 1998, she became spokeswoman for the former secretary of the Italian hard-line communist party and later president of the House of Deputies, Fausto Bertinotti.
