
Rob Goldberg is an award-winning author and cultural historian, and holds a Ph.D. in American History from the University of Pennsylvania. He serves as History Department Head at Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia. Goldberg's first book, Radical Play: Revolutionizing Children's Toys in 1960s and 1970s America, received both the Lawrence Levine Award for Best Book in American Cultural History from the Organization of American Historians and the Ray & Pat Browne Award for Best Single Work from the Popular Culture Association. His work has been cited or published in the New York Times, The New Yorker, the Los Angeles Times, and Ms. magazine. Media appearances include WNYC's The Brian Lehrer Show, the Playground Podcast with Chris Byrne, and the History Channel's The Toys That Built America.
