Robert Carlile has been a professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Arizona in Tucson. He has published many articles in esoteric technical journals, for which the audience was small and his wife had no idea what he was writing about. Always having a desire to write fiction, he wrote a story which he planned to read to four kids, ages 8 - 12, who came to visit and had to sleep in the same room. He sensed chaos and hoped the story would settle them down. By the time he got to the bottom of page 1, they were jumping on beds and throwing pillows. But what this story didn’t do for the kids, it did for Robert. He loved the writing process and continued to write. Somewhere from the storybook mists, three high-school age guys appeared to Robert—Chris, Nick, and Donny. They announced to him that they were the three Windwalkers, fearless and challenging to any problem, and should become his writing muse. Their wild and sometimes dangerous adventures are chronicled in the five Windwalker Series adventure stories. If you’re a kid or a kid at heart, it’s quite possible you will relate to these guys and enjoy the crazy things they do. Robert lives with a view of the red sandstone cliffs in Sedona, Arizona.
