Robert Henry Benson is the author of The Scarlet Kingfisher: discovery of a new species, a highly-rated 2014 novel about South Texas and its unique birds, and Through Both Eyes, a coming-of-age story about twin boys who both fall in love with the girl next door. Robert has written how-to books on photography and other subjects as well. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Robert grew up chasing birds and bugs through Texas' dry, thorny environs. A scientist by profession and a naturalist at heart, he has written several scientific journal articles and contest-winning short stories.
