Robert Kopp is Associate Director of Rutgers Energy Institute and an associate professor in the Rutgers Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences. His research focuses on understanding uncertainty in past and future climate change, with major emphases on sea-level change and on the interactions between physical climate change and the economy. A climate scientist and energy policy expert, he is a lead author of Economic Risks of Climate Change: An American Prospectus, which formed the scientific basis for the the Risky Business project, and a contributing author to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s 5th Assessment Report. He has authored over four dozen scientific papers and several popular articles.
