Robert Tell was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and educated in English Literature at Long Island University. This fueled his lifelong desire to write. He now has 8 published books, an assortment of published poems, and a growing fan following for his Harry Grouch Mystery Series. Robert Tell's work has won several prestigious awards, including the Eric Hoffer Book Award Grand Prize Finalist, and First Runner Up for the Hoffer E-Book Fiction category. At Columbia University he went on to study hospital administration and public health. His work in hospitals and health planning agencies provided the insight and medical authenticity that is found in much of his published fiction. Robert Tell also founded a successful business specializing in health care consulting...but he never gave up his dream of creating entertaining fiction. In order to devote full time to writing, he sold his business and left salaried work for good. He never looked back. Robert Tell is grateful that his parents didn't name him "William Tell." He and his wife live in Farmington Hills, Michigan and winter in Boynton Beach, Florida. He can be found most days at the keyboard of his MacBook Air.
