Graduating in 1969 from high school in Olmsted Falls OH, I enlisted in the U.S. Navy, since all the guys were dodging the draft in some manner. I served for nine years, being stationed in the Panama Canal Zone; Keflavik, Iceland; and USS AMERICA (CVA-66). I caught the college bug and went to Bob Jones University, Greenville SC, where I earned a BA magna cum laude. In 1978, I went to the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University, Macon GA. After getting my JD, I received a M.Ed. in English later at BJU. I love teaching, which is my true vocation. I have taught at the high school and college levels. Courses taught include ancient, American, and British literature; rhetorical writing; and western philosophy, with some history and Latin thrown into the mix. I am an avid supporter for home education and manage Worldview Curriculum Today, a site for providing materials to home educators for high school students.
