Rogé is an illustrator, painter, and writer with more than twenty children's books to his credit, including Haiti My Country: Poems by Haitian schoolchildren, which was named a New York Times Best Illustrated Children's Book. He has won two Governor General's Literary Awards, most recently for the illustrations in his book. Rogé lives in Montreal.
