Ron Blacksmith is an emerging science fiction and fantasy author who burst onto the literary scene in April 2024. His debut Rangers of the Realm series includes "The Eye of Farem," "The Drax," and "Child of the Stars," establishing a rich universe that has quickly captured readers' imaginations. Complementing his science fiction work, Blacksmith has also ventured into fantasy with "Coven of Andromeda" and the standalone "Thieves of Alcyone Alpha." Blacksmith crafts immersive worlds and complex characters, weaving together intrigue, action, and romance into captivating narratives filled with unexpected twists. Born in 1963 in Berea, Ohio, Blacksmith's passion for science fiction was kindled during the genre's golden age in the 1960s. Growing up, he devoured Robert A. Heinlein classics like "Space Cadet," "Time for the Stars," and "Stranger in a Strange Land," while being equally enthralled by pioneering television shows such as the original "Star Trek" and "Lost in Space." These formative influences shaped his imaginative storytelling style and futuristic vision. Before his writing career, Blacksmith spent decades in manufacturing and the steel industry, including production of steam generator cooling tubes for Naval nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and Seawolf-class submarines. Throughout his industrial career, his mind constantly wandered to distant worlds and unwritten stories. It wasn't until leaving his last position, bolstered by his family's encouragement, that he finally committed his vivid imagination to the page. Ron Blacksmith currently resides in Cleveland, Ohio, where he continues to expand his literary universe.
