A writer from the age of 11, she began by writing crime fiction and fanfiction but soon drifted towards fantasy. Her first published piece was in the New Writer mag; she also has extensive sports journalism experience. Dragonhead Station is her first published novel, but she has a good dozen laying in the bottom drawer. Most of her other work is short stories, ranging from high to dark fantasy via hard SF. Very few of these stories have yet seen the light of day. She is currently working on a sequel to Dragonhead, and a WW2 historical fantasy, as it's easier not to get bored with two novels on the go. Outside of writing, she is a keen rider and footballer. However, most of her free time is taken up by studying for a BA Hons in History and working out what she wants to do when she grows up.
