Ross Cole is Associate Professor of Music at the University of Leeds and the recipient of a Philip Leverhulme Prize. His book The Folk won the Society for Ethnomusicology's Bruno Nettl Prize. He studied at King’s College Cambridge, the University of York, and Christ Church Oxford, where he received the Gibbs Prize.
