Todd Crane isn't fond of pulling stagecoaches, but needs must when you're a part-time centaur in need of money. Unfortunately, his temporary job lands him and ex-Marshal Amelia Crockett in the middle of a town whose population has mysteriously vanished. To make matters worse, there are terrifying monsters lurking in the shadows, and Todd and Amy's fellow travelers are growing increasingly paranoid. Fighting the creatures is impossible.
