A storyteller at heart from a young age, Ryan Freerksen grew up filming intricate (and absurdly long) Claymation movies on his old Hi-8 camcorder before attending college for filmmaking. Almost a decade would pass before he realized his love for film was not rooted in its technical aspects but rather the crafting of a captivating tale. The characters of Somewhere clawed their way out of his subconscious one day while he worked a particularly toxic desk job, and they were persistent enough that he found his narrative voice once again.
