Teagan O'Rourke's life is upended by Covid and by Ben Cornish. After a breakup and a job loss, Teague retreats to dog rescue to reassess her future. Ben, bleeding from a head wound, bursts in her yard carrying an injured dog. Teague, a Vet tech, cares for the dog first and then tends to the man. Keeping a safe distance, she cares of Ben's gash and checks on signs of a concussion. To keep watch over injured Ben and his dog, she sends them to an Isolation Room, usually reserved for sick animals. By morning their roles are reversed. When her positive test results arrive, Teagan isolates. Ben becomes an unlikely caregiver creating meals, tending the animals, and encouraging Teagan as she struggles through pain and fatigue. Through a closed door, Teagan and Ben share family stories, music, books, and they dance. A friendship develops as they reveal their dreams. Teagan aspires to establish a dog therapy program which uses rescue dogs. Ben explores resources to reinvent his physical therapy office to include holistic services. Their discussions create a strong bond and a growing need to know more about each other. But when the door opens and their pasts and their families rush in, will Teagan and Ben's developing love and evolving dreams survive?
