Though born and raised in Virginia, Sam has called Florida his home since 1972. He currently shares a comfortable and rewarding lifestyle in St. Augustine with Anne Staschiak, who happens to have been his teen-age bride. The pair, who found one another following a half century separation, tell the story in their book, LOVE REMEMBERED. Of major inclusion in Sam's life are the host of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren from his and Anne's families. Without exception they are a loving lot whose frequent visits are always filled with laughter and good cheer. After a successful career in banking, Sam dabbled in real estate and some entrepreneurial endeavors before discovering his talent for writing. This explains why his subject matter often revolves around crooked, murderous bankers. He is the author of seven books, three in the Rick Cunningham Mystery/Suspense Trilogy.
