Sandra V. McGee launched her writing career as a publicist for the performing arts. In 2000, she became a writing duo with her husband, award-winning author William L. McGee. They have authored thirteen nonfiction books on World War II in the Pacific; the postwar atomic bomb tests in 1946 at Bikini code-named Operation Crossroads; and the seminal book on the era of the Nevada divorce ranches. Sandra's passions are ballet, film noir, B movies, and Reno when it was the "Divorce Capital of the World".
