I'm a writer and artist living in Vancouver, British Columbia. I have a Fine Arts Diploma from Langara College and a bachelor's degree in art history from the University of British Columbia. I wrote a memoir titled "My Schizophrenic Life: The Road to Recovery from Mental Illness." I also published "Hell's Fire" a scifi novella. In 2012, I received the Courage to Come Back award in the mental health category and was chosen as a Face of Mental Illness for a national campaign. in 2013, I received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
