Howdy readers! This ex Lancashire Lass (UK) is enjoying life in the (sometimes unbearably hot) Florida sunshine... but don't be fooled - I'm not sitting at the edge of a swimming pool, feet dangling in the cool clear blue water, with the laptop on my thighs, cool drink at hand... and writing. Nope! Instead, I'm indoors, with a fan whirring away on my left, sat at a desk that literally is the size of a wooden door (because it is!) with a snoring Miniature Pinscher below it in her bed. Amid the chaos are three stacks of notes anchored with a stone, a calculator, and the fan's 'remote control'. Taking over the rest of the desk are the laptop and a tower PC, two monitors, two keyboards, and manila folders and 'propelling pencils' (as I used to call them - officially known as mechanical pencils), as I can never sharpen real pencils properly!
