Greer: I work behind the scenes on reality t.v. shows; I don’t star in them. Against my better judgement, I found myself vying for the affections of NASCAR’s newest “it” boy, Silas Truett on my network’s newest reality gem: Driven to Love. The producers are desperate, and so am I. I need the money offered by the network to help my twin battling leukemia. I was not ready for Silas Truett; not in my mind, my heart, or my body. “Real” has no place in “reality t.v.”. Getting out of that mansion unscathed may be the biggest lie of them all. Silas: Contractually obligated. That’s what I was told. Unable to find a loophole out of this reality show nightmare, I resigned myself to just go with it and enjoy the ride. Driven to Love? Not a chance in hell. Love was not going to happen, no matter how much the producers hoped. I don’t do love but I was not prepared for Greer Asher. She monopolized my thoughts, my body, and the black lump of coal in the center of my chest. No one finds true love on television. The old adage “too good to be true” certainly applied here. Will Silas and Greer crash and burn or come out of turn four and take the checkered flag?
