The Tub of Happiness

2007

Welcome to Tagon's Toughs, a mercenary company whose newest recruit is almost as much trouble as the new owners. They want to revolutionize space travel. Schlock just wants to hurt people and break things. This 240-page volume takes the reader back to the very start of Schlock Mercenary, and then some. It opens with nine pages of all-new strips telling the story of how Schlock came to enlist, and then forges onward chronologically from the very first strip. It also includes concept sketches, commentary, excellent guest art, deck plans for the Kitesfear. If you've been waiting to devour this Schlock Mercenary from the very beginning, the wait is over: grab your big spoon and dig into the Tub of Happiness.

The Teraport Wars

2008

Sergeant Schlock lost his eyes, and thanks to a quirk of amorph biology he needs to steal new ones. Naturally, he asks Tagon's Toughs to help. Then an offer for real employment arrives, and Schlock, Tagon, and the rest of the company find themselves engaged in a battle for galactic domination. Admiral Breya Andreyasn has attacked a Buuthandi (think "Dyson's Helium Balloon"), and needs their help to steal its technology and perhaps rescue eighty billion gate-clones. This second volume of Schlock Mercenary picks up where The Tub of Happiness left off, and features all of the original strips and footnotes, plus concept art, guest art, deck plans for the Post-Dated Check Loan, and eleven pages of all-new strips featuring Schlock's very first combat mission. Gird up your annie-plant, grab an obligatory fiddly-bit and prepare for The Teraport Wars!

Commander Kevyn Andreysn has gone primitive, along with Elf, Brad, Nick, Pronto, and Schlock, but Kevyn is missing some memories. The Body Politic

2013

"But...we hate that guy!" Captain Tagon has a difficult mission ahead of him. He must convince his own company that the contract to rescue former General Xinchub is worth taking, in spite of the fact that every man, woman, and carbosilicate amorph in the company would rather see Xinchub dead. It would be ever so much easier if they could arrive just a little bit too late and instead of rescuing King Xinchub the Prandial, Tagon's Toughs could get paid to steal his body...

Longshoreman of the Apocalypse

2010

The Longshoreman of the Apocalypse follows the crew of the mercenary ship Touch-and-Go through what should have been a routine food delivery to the Credomar habitat, a human space colony that’s having some—a lot—of political problems. The contract didn’t mention the political problems. Through various stages of combat and comical mishaps, the Touch-and-Go crew tries to stay alive and deliver the food to somebody, without being sued into oblivion.

Massively Parallel

2014

"I told you we were going to fast.' With their ship just two hull breaches short of derelict status, Captain Tagon and his mercenary company must make a stop for repairs... extensive, expensive ones, which means that instead of taking shore leave, they split up for odd jobs and easy money. Money is never easy. Credomar, the Barsoom Circus, and Mall One all promise mayhem for pay, but those nigh-simultaneous dust-ups pale in comparison to the fight that awaits the Toughs once they have a ship under their feet again.
