Scott Jones was born and raised in the Midwest, dropped out of college to join the military. Married, raised two kids, wrote over the years until pause a few years ago to take real employment to pay college bills. The Thomas Cole series of books came about in talking to his son, an Army Ranger, who lamented the lack of Rangers as heroes in fiction.
