My family once owned Burma-Shave, known for its memorable roadside jingles, so using language to engage people is in my blood. With a degree in English, I have been writing for a long time, but JIGSAW SOUL has been my priority for the last few years. I leaned on my experience as a former infantry officer and current English teacher to create this story, and I was fortunate to sharpen the manuscript with two notable authors: Bret Anthony Johnston and Brent Ghelfi. In 2008, The Arizona Authors Association awarded the novel 2nd Prize in the “unpublished novel” category. Also, my horror story “Crosshair” was recently published by the The Writing Show.com.
