Seamus Boshell is the author of The Great Wall of Ballygall, a comic literary novel in which the Dublin town of Ballygall finds itself enclosed by an extraordinary wall. Blending humor, satire, and compassion, the novel explores immigration, belonging, identity, and the surprising resilience of community in a changing Ireland. Born and raised in Dublin and now living in Boston, Seamus draws on both Irish and immigrant perspectives to write stories that celebrate the complexity, contradictions, and humor of ordinary lives. His fiction is inspired by the belief that laughter and imagination can illuminate even the most serious questions about who we are and where we belong. Seamus holds an MFA in Fiction from Indiana University and has published fiction in literary journals in Ireland and the United States. His debut novel has been praised by acclaimed Irish novelist Dermot Bolger as "a deeply satirical, imaginative, wild-ride tale like no other novel you will have read." In addition to writing, Seamus enjoys speaking with libraries, book clubs, community organizations, and readers about fiction, Ireland, immigration, creativity, and the enduring power of storytelling to connect people across cultures and generations.
