I only agreed to one weekend. BRIDGET I knew it was a bad idea before I let my best friend talk me into going. But I was never good at telling her no, even if it meant spending the weekend before Christmas in the mountains with Chelsea, her fiancé, and his too-much-of-a-smart-aleck-for-anyone’s-good best friend. I knew it was going to be a disaster. I just didn’t know that disaster would come in the form of too few beds and too much snow. Now I was stuck with two choices—brave the snow to get back to Hazy Cove or put up with Wade for a few extra days. WADE Bridget was the highest maintenance person I knew.
