Private Investigator Mylas Grey has strict orders to take seven days off to recuperate from a gunshot wound. There’s just one problem—Mylas doesn’t know how to take time off. Plus, he’s already agreed to do a favor for an ex-con . . . When Mylas meets with a recently released inmate who has information about a missing female counselor from the Red Shield Academy, he can’t turn down his request for help, even though he’s immediately thrust into a set of dangerous circumstances with ominous overtones. On top of that, someone doesn’t want him to find the missing counselor . . . When Mylas receives a warning to stop his investigation—a painful warning—he takes it as confirmation he’s on the right track and redoubles his efforts to find the missing woman. And then there’s the drug dealer who’s out for revenge . . . When the bullets start flying and his own employees become targets, Mylas must take matters into his own hands, no matter what the cost. If that weren’t enough, he’s also concerned about Whitney . . . As she gets her house ready to sell in Columbia and move to Washington, he questions if he’ll be able to keep her safe, if she’ll be happy, and if her new job will change their relationship. Despite everything, Mylas is determined to persevere . . . But he quickly learns he can’t do it on his own. When decisions have to be made, when doubts come, when answers aren’t there, his faith becomes his only hope. Book VII in the Mylas Grey Mystery Series is a clean, captivating mystery filled with suspense, unforgettable characters, dynamic relationships, and a faith-driven journey of discovery.
