The author, in introducing this fourth book of humorous pieces, admits "It wouldn't be seemly for me to say that there's a laugh on every page (on the average, they tend to bunch up here and there). But I think I can safely promise that the pages that follow represent the sort of light reading material being printed in Canada circa 1955." Most of the articles collected here appeared originally in The Vancouver Province, New Liberty or Saturday Night. Two were talks for the C.B.C.
