I’m a Scottish Jamaican poet, SFF writer, and arts programmer based in Scotland. She/her Debut poetry collection Time Cleaves Itself out July 2024 from Peepal Tree Press! My work often traverses/reflects the ‘in between’ and explores the intersections of be/longing, (intergenerational) memory, illness and disability, secrecy and survival. I love weaving my heritage languages of Scots, Geordie and Patois with English, and creating magical realist or science-fictional worlds. Lets link up via LinkTree :) My writing has been shortlisted for the Sky Arts RSL Award and longlisted for the Women Poets’ Prize (2022), and exhibited in art installations including Windrush Legacy Creative Reflections (2023), Caledonian Biotech Library, 3033 (Scottish Storytelling Centre, 2022) and Acts of Observation (Collective, 2021).
