I write emotionally unhinged love stories about broken people who heal slowly, love fiercely, and usually swear a little too much along the way. I started writing because my brain doesn’t come with an off switch, and turning my trauma into fiction was cheaper than therapy, although I still do the therapy thing, don’t worry. When the Ice Breaks is my debut novel, and it’s as much about falling in love as it is about falling apart. If you’ve ever loved someone so much it hurt, this one’s for you. When I’m not writing, I’m probably doing one of three things: Chasing my toddler like it’s a full-body workout, yelling about F1 like I’m on the pit wall, or emotionally reattaching myself to Grey’s Anatomy characters I should’ve let go of seasons ago. Iced coffee is basically my lifeline, and I fully believe in the healing power of books, blankets, and a little bit of chaos.
