Part of Series
Shadow has lived most of his life in the darkness, invisible—a mute bat-shifter trained to slip through rooftops, rafters, and rival territories without leaving a trace. Every mission brings him one step closer to his true uncovering the people who destroyed his childhood and delivering the justice they escaped. Revenge is the only thing that steadies his pulse… until the night everything goes wrong. When a rescue comes from the last person he expects—a warm, determined stranger who refuses to be pushed away—Shadow’s carefully built world begins to crack. Forced to heal under someone else’s roof and watchful eyes, he finds himself drawn to the quiet understanding in her gestures, the patience in her presence, and the safety he never believed he could have. But the past is hunting him, and his quest for vengeance threatens to pull them both into the dark. To protect the one person who sees him, Shadow must decide whether he can trust love enough to change the path he’s walked alone for so long… or risk losing her to the very shadows that shaped him. A story of slow-burning connection, wounded hearts, and a silent assassin learning what it means to be held in the light.
