Librarian Note: There is more than one author by this name in the Goodreads database. Simon Cowell MBE was once a commodity broker. Yet the world of London, commuting and international finance offered only a limited horizon. Beating in Simon's heart throughout his life was a desire to protect our wildlife and the wild places upon which our very ecology and environmental survival depend. So he decided to put his suit and briefcase away, for good, and dedicate his life to the creation, not just of a wildlife hospital which would simply react to the sufferings and injury which animals have to endure, but to build an organisation which would educate, speak out and campaign to change hearts and minds. Little could Simon have foreseen how his modest early idea for a wildlife centre would develop. Today, Wildlife Aid features in its own long-running television series, something which has given Simon's work a level of exposure and popularity of which most charities could only dream. Now, he has set out on his greatest project to date the creation of a British centre for animal conservancy and education.
