Hillary can’t believe how terrible everything has become. Things seemed to be going so well! Hillary was certain her initial impression of Robert was wrong. Sure, he was beyond rich and he had been a part of a giant conglomerate that bought up beautiful restaurants and turned them into corporate sanitized shadows of their formal selves but she’d been granted a glimpse into his family and learned how he had no choice. When the chips were down, he fought for her and for The Mill, the restaurant she loves. And she fell in love with more than The Mill. She fell in love with Robert Kingsington III. And it was all a lie. Heartbroken and wounded, she returns to her home and tries to conceive of a plan to move forward without The Mill or Robert. Meanwhile, how can Robert convince her it’s all a misunderstanding? How can he get her to understand the forces conspiring against them and his willingness to everything in his considerable power to protect her from them? There is one thing he knows for certain. Even if he could buy the entire world, he can’t imagine living in it without Hillary. But maybe some things just aren’t meant to be.
