The Sleepover gang are staying in a boat on the east coast. Isolated in their snug cabin, the boat is surrounded by mist and strange noises, and Jo starts to tell a story. A hoard of treasure is rumoured to be hidden in the local bay, but there are also reports of a ghostly figure which haunts it.

The Sleepover gang are staying in a loft in New York. Wrapped up in blankets, they settle down as Alex tells her story. Strange things begin to happen to exhibits at an art show in the city and when a skeleton is discovered in a sealed-up attic, events take a terrifying turn.

The girls are on a barge trip up the Rideau Canal, which was built during the war of 1812 between the US and Canada to secure supply lines. They camp out at night and tell their scary tales - this time about the haunting of a nearby mill that was occupied by the soldiers when they built the canal.

Staying in an old hotel, the Sleepover gang ignore the creaking corridors and the flickering lightbulbs. They snuggle down to listen to Louise's eerie tale about a ballroom which is haunted by a young girl in a ballgown standing on the staircase - her fleeting image reflected in the ornate mirror.
