After weeks of karaoke-ing Romeo Santos and Usher, heartbroken high schooler, Danny Estrella, decides to do what his recently deceased-father would do: womanize the memory of his ex-girlfriend away. But his plan is short-lived as his first night out results in a backdoor deal with a local detective: spy on his ex or go to jail. Danny quickly learns that his ex (who he may still love) may not be the same person he dated two months ago, and the women she now associates with are not to be underestimated. Accompanied by his estranged half-sister, straight-passing gay best friend and never-quiet cousins, Danny is yanked and whiplashed between his machismo upbringing and the LGBTQIA+ and feminist communities.
